Did JD Vance and Robert Prevost fight on social media? Trump ally calls new pope 'gross'

Not an all-out fight like JD Vance had with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but new pope Robert Prevost, who took the name of Leo XIV, had a beef or two with the vice president as Prevost shared posts critical of JD Vance and the Trump administration's immigration policies.

While the MAGA celebrated the election of the first American pope and credited President Donald Trump's AI image as pope for manifesting this to happen, they could not overlook his leaning.

What are the anti-Trump/Vance posts that the new pope shared?

In February, Prevost reposted an article headlined, "JD Vance is wrong: Jesus doesn't ask us to rank our love for others." In April, when Trump had a meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele, Prevost reposted a comment that included: "Do you not see the suffering? Is your conscience not disturbed?"

It is, however, not confirmed whether the X account that shared posts criticizing JD Vance was personally handled by the new pope. The account made its first post in 2011.




Trump's close aide Laura Loomer made a blunt attack and called the new pope anti-Trump, anti-MAGA. "His name is Robert Prevost. He’s the first American Pope. He is anti-Trump, anti-MAGA, pro-open Borders, and a total Marxist like Pope Francis. Catholics don’t have anything good to look forward to. Just another Marxist puppet in the Vatican," Laura Loomer posted.

"Meet the new American Pope. Of course he’s anti-MAGA and WOKE. Another Open Borders Pope. Gross," Loomer added.

"The new Pope once retweeted a post about how we need to keep praying for career criminal & drug addict George Floyd. The tweet said, “May all hatred, violence and prejudice be eradicated.” What prejudice? Is that another way to spell FENTANYL OVERDOSE? MARXIST POPE!" Loomer wrote.

“Pope Leo XIV: Registered Chicago Republican and pro-life warrior OR Open borders globalist installed to counter Trump?” wrote right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
