VHP demands Devaprashnam at Sabarimala

Kochi: The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded that a ‘Devaprashnam' be conducted at Sabarimala before the start of Mandala season.

In a joint statement, VHP state president Viji Thampi and general secretary Anil Vilayil suggested preparing a list of renowned astrologers from within and outside Kerala and selecting chief astrologer and others through a draw. "This should be similar to the appointment of the head priest, to conduct the inquiry in front of the deity when the temple opens for puja in the month of Thulam.

They emphasized that the divine will be prioritized over court orders. TNN
