Kochi: Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has begun investigation into the allegation of amassment of disproportionate assets against former chief secretary KM Abraham.
As per the CBI FIR, the agency is investigating the alleged amassment from Jan 1, 2003 to Dec 31, 2015.
The FIR states the allegation was that in this period he amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The FIR was registered as per Kerala high court direction. The FIR also says the complainant, Jomon Puthenpurackal, has also given a detailed complaint to the CBI on April 25, 2025.
The FIR has been registered invoking sections 13 (2) read with 13 (1)(e) of Prevention of Corruption Act.
