tied the knot with her husband Joe Swash three years ago and they have since welcomed three children. The on-screen couple has given viewers a look into their personal life in the latest episode of their self-titled BBC show. During Tuesday's offering things grew tense between the pair as they opted to go for relationship counselling. Joe, 43, who was recently diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), admitted his failure to complete tasks and become distracted has been a point of contention in their relationship.

Stacey, 35, attempted to reassure her other half but things quickly turned tense as Joe walked out of the room in order to get "some air". They joined counsellor Natalie who asked to delve into their romance before things got awkward.

Stacey began: "Joe has ADHD and we end up having arguments over things that Joe thinks is totally out of his control. And then I don't know how to manage or rectify, or make it easier. That's why we are here."

Joe admitted he does "things differently" to his wife and will often become distracted.

Stacey went onto explain that when there are times she is struggling with juggling work and family she will ask Joe for help but he can "end up doing other things".

She said: "You're a great dad and a great person but I don't think you understand all the fires I've got to put out everywhere."

A stunned Joe replied: "I don't know what to say. It's so frustrating when all I'm trying to do is dedicate myself to my family. I do everything I possibly can. Every minute of every day. And then to sit here and listen to the fact I'm a huge problem."

As Stacey attempted to interject, Joe hit back: "No, no, no. All I'm hearing is that I'm a huge problem in Stacey's perfect life."

The couple then went back and forth as the mum-of-five reiterated "that's not what I'm saying" as they began to speak over one another with raised voices as a bewildered Natalie watched on.

Stacey went on to share the biggest issue in their marriage is not being able to say something to her beau without him taking it as a "personal attack".

The therapist urged the couple to take some space to understand each other's feelings but as the session ended Joe stood up, before saying, "I'm going to go outside for a minute and get some air," as he left the room.

Stacey remained in her seat as she began to pick at her top.

Despite Joe later claiming the therapy session was a "horrible" experience for him he agreed to continue the counselling with his wife.

The pair then shared a sweet kiss and embrace following the tense on-air moment.
