After ten years on sale, a popular Xbox and PlayStation game is about to be de-listed from digital stores.

Rhythm action game Rock Band 4 will no longer be available to purchase from October 5, according to a statement by developer Harmonix.

This means the only way you'll be able to purchase the game is by grabbing a physical copy, which are becoming increasingly more rare.

The game is being de-listed due to the music licenses running out after ten years on sale. The game originally launched in October 2015.

"On Sunday, October 5, 2025, Rock Band 4 turns 10. What a ride it's been," reads a statement from Harmonix. "With this milestone comes one big change: the original licenses for the core soundtrack are expiring.

"Because of that, Rock Band 4 will be removed from the PlayStation and Xbox digital stores."

The good news is that you'll still be able to play the game and access your DLC if you've already purchased a digital copy.

"If you already own the game, nothing changes-you'll keep full access and still be able to download the game and songs to any new, compatible devices," Harmonix adds.

"The same applies to downloadable content: songs will come down as they hit the 10-year mark, but anything you've purchased will remain in your library."

As Harmonix points out, DLC songs will no longer be available from the Rock Band 4 store once they reach the ten year mark.

This means early Rock Band 4 DLC tracks will be taken down soon, while more recent additions will remain in the store for more time.

Needless to say, if you have any songs you want to pick up, now is the time to do it.
