Prince Harry has announced a major shift to his top team for The Invictus Games Foundation, which the prince set up in 2014. The Duke of Sussex, 40, stepped out at the Invictus Horizons event in London yesterday to focus on everything Invictus Games related.
At the event, Harry addressed an audience of supporters, partners, and community members to talk about the Invictus movement. The event looked at how the organisation will be run throughout the next decade, with a new strategic direction announced that will focus on "catalysing systemic change, growing the movement, focusing resources where the need is greatest, and maintaining support for its community".
The event also saw a major change for the Foundation as it formally welcomed its new CEO.
This is Rob Owen OBE, who has become the Foundation's new Chief Executive Officer after joining the Foundation earlier this year.
Rob has taken over from Dominic Reid OBE, who held the position since the foundation began in 2014.
In a speech, Rob said: "It is a privilege to lead an organisation with such strong foundations and extraordinary potential to change lives. Our vision is a world where no wounded, injured or sick service person or veteran is left without the opportunity to recover, rebuild and thrive through the power of sport and community.
"That's why we've launched our new strategy today to catalyse systemic change across a growing international movement; focus our resources where the need is greatest, while also strengthening the community we have proudly served over the past ten years."
Harry arrived at the event last night after leaving a private tea with his father King Charles, 76, at Clarence House.
The Duke of Sussex, who quit royal life in 2020, met up with his father for just under an hour, marking the first time they had seen each other since February 2024.
The meeting has been seen as the start of a reconciliation between the pair, with Harry having claimed in May that they had not been speaking.
The duke is set to leave the UK shortly, having spent the last four days back on home soil carrying out various engagements.
