It can be frustrating if you keep finding pigeons in your garden but luckily there's one easy way to deter them. You might find you have a lot of pigeons on your roof or in your garden and they can contribute towards your property getting messy.
To get rid of pigeons, you'll want to use a method which is safe and won't harm them but will instead gently lead them away from your garden.
Pigeon Control London says planting garlic in your garden can deter the birds.
It suggests using garlic water if you don't want to plant the item, it says: "Garlic is known for its strong smell, which pigeons dislike.
"Crush garlic cloves and mix them with water to create a spray that can be used as a pigeon repellent."
There are other scents which will put pigeons off your garden, the experts add.
If you don't want to use garlic, you can use citrus instead.
Pigeon Control London says: "Pigeons dislike the smell of citrus fruits like lemons, oranges, and grapefruits.

"Spraying a mixture of citrus essential oil and water around affected areas can help keep them at bay."
Alternatively, peppermint could also ward the birds away.
The strong scent of peppermint oil is another effective pigeon deterrent.
"Soak cotton balls in peppermint oil and place them strategically to create a pigeon-free zone," Pigeon Control London says.
Other scents which could work which you might already have at home include cinnamon and vinegar.
You can simply sprinkle cinnamon powder or use cinnamon essential oil to deter pigeons from roosting.
White vinegar is another good natural repellent, the experts say you can dilute it with water and spray it around areas frequented by pigeons to discourage them from landing.
By taking on board this simple advice, you can easily ensure to keep these pesky birds away from your home without harming them.
