BBC star loses it with Andrea Jenkyns in resurfaced clip before Sky storm-off

An old clip of having yet another disagreement on TV has resurfaced. The politician accused the of treating her unfairly during her appearance on the satirical quiz show , back in October.

The 50-year-old gave her thoughts on the popular BBC panel show, as she claimed: "I still think Boris was one of our better Prime Ministers." In response, the studio audience let out a loud noise of disagreement. Addressing the show's host, , Andrea took a little dig saying: "I see you've selected the audience. You know, the people who don't like Boris or Conservatives."

But Ian Hislop, who was also appearing on the show, hit back saying: "You can't just say 'you've selected the audience'. You've got no evidence for that, no proof. It's just b****cks." Taking a swipe at a rival news show, he added: "This isn't GB News!"

The former Conservative MP later hit out at the programme for how she was portrayed. While speaking to Martin Daubney on GB News, Dame Jenkyns revealed that key moments from her appearance were left on the cutting room floor.

She said: "Unfortunately, some of my lines didn't get put in there [the final edit]. I had a comeback line for Paul Merton, and he shot me a disapproving look that wasn't included." She added: "I guess it's three-and-a-half hours' worth of footage. To narrow it down to 30 minutes is a big ask.

"There was a lot of banter, but I think the sad thing is that I just came across as a smiling sweety because not a lot of my lines were in there, unfortunately."

It comes as the new Greater Lincolnshire mayor abruptly quit a interview and refused to answer more questions as a journalist pushed her on a controversial topic on Friday. During the interview, she made a speech calling out the "dirty" campaign run by her rival candidates, but when questioned on the matter, she didn't like it.

A Sky News journalist pressed her: "You said it was a dirty campaign, but you just used your speech to smear other candidates and to bring up all that dirty laundry. Do you think that's appropriate?"

Jenkyns took a breath before responding: "Well, I ask you, if the police were called on you for something unfounded, if you were reported to the council for something that was unfounded, wouldn't you want to speak out about it? I've always been honest. I was honest about Conservative prime ministers when I was a Conservative. So I will always call out bad behaviour."

Things quickly escalated as the reporter referred to comments Jenkyns had made over a rival candidate's South African accent. Eventually, Jenkyns lost it with the Sky News star, fuming: "Oh, I think actually I'm not even going to answer any more of your questions.

"I think that your questioning is quite divisive, you're looking into things when it was a little play with words, it was a little joke because of the irony. Do you not understand irony? I'm not answering your questions."
