Fulham are ready to enter the race for Rasmus Hojlund but want assurances that the Manchester United striker has an interest in joining them with the Dane previously expressing a desire to remain where he is.
The west Londoners are weighing up a move for the forward as Rodrigo Muniz is the subject of bids from Atalanta, which could leave them light in the final third. Those at Old Trafford are open to Hojlund's exit and are currently looking for a suitor.
AC Milan have been in talks with United regarding the striker and have offered a £4.5million loan fee with an option to buy for £39m. That was seen as the most favourable option before Fulham expressed their interest, but they want to know about the player's state of mind, reports the Daily Mail.
United want to move on Hojlund, especially after landing Benjamin Sesko for more than £70m. The ex-Atalanta man has been unable to deliver consistently during his two years in Manchester, leading to them dipping into the market once again.
The player though has expressed his desire to stay and fight for his place, even if Sesko's arrival will push him further down the pecking order.

It is unlikely that Fulham will want a player who was forced out of Manchester and moved to them against his will, as a result they have enquired about his willingness to make the move.
Hojlund was adamant that he relished the competition when he was quizzed on his future during United's pre-season tour of the United States. He said: “I think my plan is very clear and that's for me to stay and fight for my spot, whatever happens. Competition is fine with me, it sharpens me. I'm more than ready. I'm feeling sharp, so I'm welcoming everything that comes. I think it's good with competition and it only sharpens the team.

“I'm still very young. I think people forget that sometimes. I'm only 22. Obviously, not every striker is scoring 100 goals at the age of 22. But I've learned a lot, I think you can see in my game."
Ruben Amorim though gave no guarantees that Hojlund would still be a United player come the end of the summer transfer window. The club will be conscious that they would like to add a midfielder and a goalkeeper - with sales helping raise funds and balance the books.
