Luis Diaz and Alexis Mac Allister must be relishing their choice to join , having just celebrated the club's title win. Both players had been on the radar of other English clubs before they arrived on Merseyside.

The deal was also rumoured to have been hastened by the Portuguese club's readiness to accept offers below Diaz's €80m release clause.
