Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Due to the Tiranga Yatra scheduled to take place from Roshanpura Square to Shastri Pratima Square on Thursday, Bhopal Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory and announced diversions on several routes from 4 PM onwards.
Traffic from Rangmahal Square, Banganga, TT Nagar Crossing and Control Room towards Roshanpura will be diverted to ease congestion during the march. Vehicles coming from Jahangirabad towards Roshanpura will have to take a longer route through PHQ Tiraha, Khatlapura Temple, Purana Manchhali Ghar, KN Pradhan and Banganga, before reaching Rangmahal Square.
Similarly, vehicles from New Market going towards Jahangirabad will be diverted from Rangmahal Square via Palash Hotel, Banganga, K.N. Pradhan Tiraha, Purana Manchhali Ghar, Khatlapura Temple and finally through PHQ Tiraha.
Traffic heading towards New City will be allowed through Control Room, Court Square, Vallabh Bhawan Rotary, 1250 Square and Link Road No. 1.
Parking plan
Special parking arrangements have also been made for visitors attending the yatra. Vehicles coming from Bhadbhada will drop passengers at Rangmahal Square and then move towards TT Nagar for parking.
Those arriving from the old city areas will drop passengers at Banganga and park at the TT Nagar Dussehra Ground. Vehicles from Govindpura will drop visitors at Malviya Nagar Tiraha and park at the MVM Ground and the MLA Rest House.
The traffic police have requested commuters to follow the diversions and cooperate to ensure smooth flow of traffic during the event.
