Bollywood actress Ananya Panday came out in support of Babil Khan after the latter was dragged into a controversy over a viral video showing him having a massive breakdown. While Babil admired Ananya, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Arjun Kapoor and others for their support in the video, netizens speculated that he accused them of bullying him.
Babil later took to his Instagram stories to clarify: "The video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal and Arijit Singh (sic)."

"I genuinely don't have the energy to indulge more but I do this as responsibility for my peers that I truly admire (sic)," he added.
Soon after, Ananya reshared his statement and wrote, "Only love and good energy for you Babil, always in ur corner (sic)."
What did Babil Khan say?
In the wee hours of Sunday, a visibly emotional and dishevelled Babil shared a video on his Instagram stories, saying, "Bollywood is the most fakest industry that I have ever been a part of. But there are few people that want Bollywood to be better...I got to show to you so much more, so much more, so much more. I have so much more to give you..."
He also named Shanaya Kapoor, Ananya Pandey, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav and Arijit Singh in the video, and later sobbed saying, "Bollywood is so fu*ked. Bollywood is so so rude."
As the video went viral, netizens speculated that the actors he named in the clip had bullied Babil, but his team later clarified that he was, in fact, thanking them for their support and that the viral clip was doctored.
Celebs support Babil
After the video fiasco, Babil's team issued a statement saying, "Over the past few years, Babil Khan has earned immense love and appreciation for his work, as well as for his openness about his mental health journey. Like anyone else, Babil is allowed to have difficult days. and this was one of them. We want to reassure all his well-wishers that he is safe and will be feeling better soon (sic)."
Raghav Juyal shared the statement on his Instagram handle and wrote, "BABİL is my family and I am always with him no matter what (sic)."
Siddhant too extended his support to Babil and slammed netizens for speculating and "looking for drama".
