Bajaj Auto has launched the new Bajaj Chetak 3503 e-scooter in the Indian market. The Chetak 35 series was launched a few months earlier, and now the 3503 is the most affordable variant in the range priced at Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). The Chetak 3503 shares its battery and newly developed chassis with the higher-end models but comes with fewer features. Interested customers can book the scooter online or by visiting their nearest dealership, deliveries are expected to begin soon.
The Bajaj Chetak 3503 is based on the same platform as other models in the 35 series, it comes equipped with the same 3.5kWh battery pack that offers a claimed range of 155km. Since it shares the chassis with the other variants in the 35 series, it also features the same spacious 35-litre underseat storage. That said, the 3503 differs in performance, with a slightly lower claimed top speed of 63kph. Talking about the price difference, the Chetak 3503 is about Rs 20,000 more affordable than the 3501 variant.
Features-wise, the bike gets a full-metal body and, a colour LCD screen with basic Bluetooth functions. The e-scooter also takes a bit longer to charge — reaching 80 per cent in 3 hours and 25 minutes, compared to 3 hours for the other Chetak 35 variants. Unlike its siblings, it misses out on sequential indicators and swaps the front disc brake for a drum unit, and hill hold assist. It also offers two riding modes - Eco and Sports. The new Bajaj Chetak 3503 is offered in four colour options – Indigo Blue, Brooklyn Black, Cyber White, and Matt Grey.
