In what can only be described as a cricketing marvel, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has become the talk of the town, taking the IPL by storm in just a few short weeks. Playing for the Rajasthan Royals, Suryavanshi made history on April 28, 2025, by scoring a blistering 100 off just 35 balls against the Gujarat Titans, making him the youngest player ever to score a century in the IPL. He is now also the fastest Indian to score an IPL century. And yes, fans are already drawing comparisons to cricketing legends like Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.

After Vaibhav Suryavanshi's explosive 100 off just 35 balls in the IPL, fans are comparing the young sensation to cricket legends Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar. His ability to hit boundaries at such a young age has sparked excitement about his potential future in international cricket.

The cricket world was set alight after 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi blasted a sensational 100 off just 35 balls in the IPL. His explosive debut has sparked excitement among fans and experts, who are already envisioning a bright future for Indian cricket.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s remarkable achievement has earned him praise from none other than the legendary Sachin Tendulkar. He wrote, "Vaibhav’s fearless approach, bat speed, picking the length early, and transferring the energy behind the ball was the recipe behind a fabulous innings. End result: 101 runs off 38 balls. Well played!!"

Suravyanshi also earned praise from Yusuf Pathan, who congratulated the 14-year-old for breaking his record of the fastest IPL century by an Indian. Notably, before Suryavanshi's explosive knock, the record for the fastest IPL century by an Indian was held by Pathan. In IPL 2010, while playing for Rajasthan Royals, Pathan scored a 37-ball century against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium.

Taking to X, Pathan wrote, "Many congratulations to young #VaibhavSuryavanshi for breaking my record of the fastest @IPL hundred by an Indian! Even more special to see it happen while playing for @rajasthanroyals, just like I did. There’s truly something magical about this franchise for youngsters. Long way to go, champ!"

Harbhajan Singh hailed Vaibhav Suryavanshi as a "superstar" after his record-breaking IPL debut, adding, "More power to you, youngster 🧿."

In a do-or-die match for the Rajasthan Royals, Suryavanshi delivered a jaw-dropping performance that set the IPL alight. Thrashing Gujarat Titans' bowlers left, right and centre, he made history by scoring a century off just 35 balls—the second fastest in the IPL history.  Suryavanshi also smashed the fastest fifty of IPL 2025, reaching there in just 17 balls. 

Meanwhile, as the IPL season progresses, all eyes will be on Suryavanshi, as cricket fans around the world wonder just how far this young prodigy can go.
