Former Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has sent a clear message to another of his old clubs after Paris Saint-Germain reached the Champions League final at the expense of Arsenal.
During that four-year period, he captained the Blues on many occasions and was instrumental to their 2021 Champions League triumph.

"Chelsea means a lot to me. I came here with the intention of only staying for a year and it ended up being four years. Not just for me but for my family, too," he admitted when confirming his departure in April 2024.
"My sons play for Chelsea so it’s a source of great pride to be a part of the family – literally because my sons are here. I hope they can continue their careers here at this victorious club that many players wish to be part of.
"I think in everything I did here over the four years, I always gave my all. But, unfortunately, everything has a start, a middle and an end. That doesn’t mean that this is a definitive end. I hope to leave the door open so that in the near future I can return, albeit in another role here.
"But…it’s an indescribable love. I can only say thank you."
Having shown such an admiration to a club he was only at for four years, Silva spent double that time at PSG which makes it no surprise he will have been delighted to see them back in a Champions League final.
The Parisians lost the 2020 showpiece to Bayern Munich while Silva was captain and on Wednesday evening, he has sent a clear PSG message ahead of the final against Inter in Germany.
On X he wrote: "Paris Saint-Germain [red heart and blue heart emoji]. 2020 was a difficult year. But this time everything will end well [hands together emoji]."
Having beaten , Aston Villa and Arsenal in previous knockout rounds, PSG are arguably favourites for the trophy, but Inter have knocked out Bayern and Barcelona, and it is clear they want to avenge defeat to Manchester City in the final two years ago.
